About the Program:

Yonsei University Wonju Campus was founded in 1977 as a second campus to Seoul Campus. As of 2009, the campus had over 6,000 undergraduates, 400 graduate students and 300 faculty members in 34 academic departments. The city of Wonju is located in Gangwon Province, and about 60 miles east of Seoul. The 500-acre campus is surrounded by a dense forest and a beautiful lake, while featuring highly-equipped facilities, and great cultural diversity. It is approximately 30 minutes to a renowned ski resort in Asia and an hour to the East coast. Public transportation allows for quick trips to Seoul during weekends.

Students will take part in the Global Village(GV) Program. It is an expansion of the student exchange program in which international exchange students will take part in the cultural internship program, living with a small group of Korean students in a more amicable environment while taking courses of their choice. Moreover, they will also have the opportunity to interact with other international students from different places around the world. All the activities in the GV program are conducted in English. International students will come to understand Korean life style and its culture as well as make friends with Korean students. At the same time Korean students will also be able to experience Western culture as they interact closely with the exchange students.
