Location: Bahia, Brazil

About the Program:

This three week workshop on-site in Bahia, Brazil will focus on  cultural and environmental studies, exploring music, dance, sports, religion, conservation, sustainability and land use.

Students will visit the city of Salvador, the first capital of Brazil and  font of Afro-Brazilian cultural heritage.

Through a trip through the Atlantic rain forest participants will discover a place that it is more diverse and threatened than the Amazon. Everyone will an opportunity to visit agricultural regions, including a Michelin rubber plantation and small-scale independent farms, and the tropical beach.

Miami University Tuition Cost
I understand that the cost of the program tuition must be paid at time of registration to Lifelong Learning 127 McGuffey Hall, 210 E. Spring Street, Oxford, OH 45056. The workshop tuition is refundable if registration is canceled prior to 4:30pm on the last business day before the workshop start date.

Undergraduate Summer 2011 Credit*
Ohio Resident tuition: $482.80 per credit hour
Non-Ohio Resident tuition: $791.28 per credit hour

Administrative Fee
I understand that the $100 administrative fee is non-refundable.

Program Deposit
I understand the program deposit and the refund policy is set by the director.
