This four-week summer workshop in Calabria, a beautiful region in southern Italy, is a unique chance for students of all majors to develop computing skills and learn about sustainable practices while experiencing life at a prominent Italian University.
CSE 270 is an introductory computer science course that allows you to develop basic programming skills in Answer-Set Prolog, useful for knowledge representation. CSE 262 introduces you to ethical issues related to the use of technology and computers, such as privacy, intellectual property, censorship, and security. It is a Humanities/Social Science Foundation course.

Calabria is the “toe” of the Italian Peninsula, a region in Southern Italy where rocky coasts and sandy beaches meet the crystal blue waters of the Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas. The University of Calabria, situated in the suburbs of Cosenza, is one of the top Italian universities, with an internationally renowned department of mathematics and computer science. The workshop students will have the opportunity to interact with students and professors from University of Calabria and travel to wonderful nearby sites, towns, and beaches.
