This winter workshop in Dublin, Ireland provides exposure, immersion, and direct experience with the performing arts in an international urban setting. Although focused on the rich history of Irish theatre and music, students will also experience other artistic traditions such as Irish Dance and Celtic Design. Students practice fundamentals of artistic work and learn about the specific culture
and the influence of Gaelic language on Irish art forms. Students will attend performances, complete hands-on creative projects, and create multi-media presentations - Dublin is our classroom. This
workshop targets non-College of Creative Arts majors as well as CCA majors, and can be used for a combination of Miami Plan thematic sequence credit, arts foundation IIA credit and/or global credit, via a two-course (6 credit hour) offering. Students interested in the thematic sequence may complete that during the spring semester, 2019 by taking a third course. For more information, contact Julia
