The Humanitarian Affairs University Scholars Leadership Symposium will bring together 1,000+ emerging student and youth leaders from across the world who are passionate about global issues of humanitarian concern and want to work towards collaborative global solutions.

The 2019 Symposium will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In addition to Symposium sessions and networking events, participants will have the opportunity to participate in a service project.

The Symposium schedule and highlights can be found on the Symposium website. 

The 2019 Miami University delegation is limited to 5 undergraduate students. We are seeking engaged student leaders who have a minimum GPA of at least 2.5 and will be juniors or seniors in Fall 2019. Both domestic and international students are welcome to apply.

PROGRAM FEE $0  
The ~$1000 registration fee will be paid by Miami University Global Initiatives. The registration fee includes full participation in Symposium activities, shared hotel accommodation, local transportation during Symposium activities, meals (6 breakfasts, 5 lunches, 6 coffee breaks), t-shirt, and certificate of participation. 

Program Fee Refund Policy
The program deposit and the refund policy is set by the director.

Additional Anticipated Expenses $2000  
Additional Anticipated Expenses include international travel to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, airport transfers, meals not covered by the registration fee, health insurance (required), passport/visa expenses (if needed), and other personal expenses.
