The workshop will provide students an experiential learning opportunity in producing and writing for nonprofit and commercial NYC theatres. The workshop introduces students to the concepts
of producing and writing while in Oxford and then travels to NYC to experience theatre in the Off-Broadway and Broadway context. While in NYC, the workshop will be based at the Obie
award-winning Off-Broadway Brooklyn based Theatre for A New Audience. The students will get to interact with the professional at the Theatre for A New Audience through discussion and seminar to
understand the production process in professional NYC theatre. Also, students will have the opportunity to see and then critically analysis NYC theatre productions. The workshop is targeted to
students in the Theatre program, the Arts Management program, and students interested in advanced writing in the arts.
