Tell Me More...

In our four week workshop, you will get to travel to one of the most beautiful places in the world! In just four transformative weeks, students learn how Australia is a hub of cultural and artistic production. The beautiful harbor-front city of Sydney becomes your classroom as we study the rich indigenous and immigrant literature and culture of Australia. We also delve deeply into the contemporary art, street art and digital media scene through extended walks around the city and visit some of the most cutting-edge museums in the world. Through seminar-style discussions, small group collaborative projects, and experiential learning, the rich culture, history, and art of Australia come alive. Our readings and discussions allow participants in our program to learn about the indigenous peoples of Australia, to see the world famous Sydney Harbor Bridge, and to take in a show at the Opera House. Through intensive work in our classroom and outside as we explore museums, ethnic neighborhoods, and monuments, you will discover the traces of the past you read about in class while living and learning in a place you've probably only dreamed of visiting.

Say G'day and come down under with us!
